HAKKO FM204 Desoldering Station

The Hakko FM204 is a high performance desoldering station with a self contained vacuum pump. The FM204 can also be used as a high performance soldering station when used with the FM2027 connector. The FM204 was specifically designed for desoldering lead-free solders. The N3 series composite nozzles are desoldering nozzles in which a heating element and sensor are integrated with ceramic. Despite its highly compact design, the nozzle offers superior thermal response and greatly improved thermal recovery. The solder path through the nozzle is short to limit the chances of solder clogging the nozzle. Maintenance is simple with the filter pipe assemble. The assembly is easily removed from FM2024 desoldering tool and discarded when it is full of solder and/or flux.

The station features a programmable sleep mode of 0-29 minutes or auto-power shut off at 30 minutes. Sleep mode, auto power shut off and tip temperature can be programmed and locked into memory with the key card. The sleep mode reduces the tip temperature to approximately 200°C (400°F) after the programmed time (0-29 minutes). The lower tip temperature will reduce oxidation of the tip and improve the tip performance. When in sleep mode the tip will quickly return to temperature after the iron is removed from the holder.
